Hi I'm Dan, welcome to The Bakehouse.
The best place to find delicious, mouth watering treats for every taste and occasion.
The Bakehouse started as a tiny business in Cranfield, Bedfordshire January 2017 armed with only a VERY good brownie recipe and a lot of determination. Intent on hand crafting the best quality baked goods around, I set out to create an array of delicious, sweet treats that would deliver not only amazing flavours, but would linger long in the memory.
My passion for cooking stretches back to when I was a child - I have fond memories of helping my mum cook every day, from stews to puddings to icing cakes. It was a great place to learn the basics and I continued honing my skills in numerous professional kitchens for the next twenty plus years.
Food has always been a huge part of my life and I’m grateful that I can now share my baking with so many people.
I have a passion for amazing ingredients and am always looking for innovative new ways to get the best from them for you to enjoy.
In early 2020 The Bakehouse headquarters moved to Burgess Hill in West Sussex.
Surrounded by amazing local producers - I get my incredible organic eggs from The Mac's Farm down the road - The Bakehouse continues to go from strength to strength.
